We are tracking our progress on each theme which can be seen through the blue outlined area at the heart of our Purpose Chart (December 2023).
In pursuit of driving more sustainable projects, we launched our Purpose Matrix to guide conversations, decision-making and our approach to project delivery. The matrix is a reference to simply consider the impact of a project against each theme.
Our commitment to sustainability stems from our founders who in 1881 started our company from a shared passion for the profession of engineering, an indestructible belief in progress and the drive to make the world a better place.
In 2008 we were proud to join the United Nations Global Compact and officialise our commitment to corporate sustainability and operate in ways that meet fundamental responsibilities in the areas of human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. By incorporating their Ten Principles into our policies and operation, and establishing a culture of integrity, we aim for sustainable success. Our yearly progress reports can be found on our company page on UNGC’s website.
We also participate in a number of international bodies at advisory and committee level. An overview of these partnerships and memberships can be found here.
Visit our introduction page to our global priorities that explains how they connect our purpose with commitment to drive meaningful change.
