On-site team smooths operations for animal health specialist

A leading animal health company required an on-site team to handle all their engineering needs, from trouble shooting to brownfield and greenfield projects.

Having worked for the company for 15 years, Royal HaskoningDHV was contracted to set up a team covering all disciplines and drawing on specialist expertise across our organisation as needed. Projects have included licensing activities, redesigning electrical infrastructure and investigating a new sterile air handling system for cleanrooms.

Integrated approach ensures smooth connections for new installations

One of the benefits of having a pro-active experienced team on site is our ability to identify and solve issues before they create production or regulatory delays. When a condensing problem arose in the production cleanroom, we identified the issue, designed improvements, explored costs and implemented the best-value solution.

Another benefit is our integrated whole-site approach, as Rob Stevens, Senior Project Manager at Royal HaskoningDHV explained: “We look across the boundaries of various installations and structures to ensure interfaces and connections between buildings, new installations and the plant will work. Our client benefits from the smooth integration which adds value.”

This was evident when our client introduced a process to sterilise waste and store it in an underground concrete pit. As well as assisting with the construction of the pit, we arranged licensing, supplies and connections to the sterilisation unit.
