Opening the door to growth and collaboration in Newcastle
On Tuesday 10th December 2024, a celebratory opening event was held together with many of the organisation’s key clients and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by CEO Marije Hulshof.
Located at One Strawberry Lane, just a short walk from Newcastle Central Train Station, the new office is situated in a historic, vibrant area of the city. From its beginnings as a medieval site for strawberry wine production to the brewing of Newcastle Brown Ale, today the area and office sit adjacent to St. James' Park, the home of Newcastle United football club.
Commenting on the new space, Jon Robinson, UK Managing Director, said: "We are delighted to officially open our new office in Newcastle, which has been designed to support our future way of working where different zones provide a greater emphasis on collaboration, focus and creativity for our rapidly expanding teams in maritime, renewables and resilience.
Royal HaskoningDHV has been a part of the North East for over 70 years, based in Newcastle. We look forward to further growing our position at the heart of the local community and to the opportunities that this new office will bring to help us achieve our vision of Enhancing Society Together.
Catering at the opening event was provided by the team from Café 16 at Newcastle Cathedral, a joint enterprise between Newcastle Cathedral and the Oswin Project which supports people with criminal records to find employment, training and support.
