Royal HaskoningDHV was contracted to plan, design and supervise the construction of new shipyard facilities. Our team provided the design for the inner harbour featuring a 2,500t shiplift and ship transfer pit, outfitting buildings, including the 120m-long and 85m-wide outfitting hall.

Construction of the yard started in August 2011, and the first phase one of the project was officially commissioned in March 2014.

The total cost of the project is USD 40m and the overall project is expected to generate approximately 750 jobs. The project moves the client closer to their objective of increasing the number of vessels built to 80 per year, when all the phases are fully complete.
