Royal HaskoningDHV (RHDHV) is a highly respected 140+ year old engineering consultancy company that designs & builds industrial assets such factories and logistics centers for many leading organizations. In 2022, we’ve joined forces with Districon, a leading supply chain and logistics consultancy with 45 years’ experience developing strategies and solving and issues for integrated logistics and supply chain management.  

Our joint team forms the Supply Chain & Logistics Centre of Excellence within RHDHV. We provide top-tier logistics & supply chain advisory as well as digital supply chain advanced analytics services on top of RHDHV’s traditional engineering and consultancy domain knowledge.  

What will you do

The role will solve various warehousing issues on a project basis, from logistics concept development, automation/mechanization, process optimization and benchmarking, up to and including logistics tender guidance. You will working with an impressive range of clients to understand and capture their requirements and then deliver projects with your data-driven approach, industry expertise and our digital tools.

You will use your skills, along with your APAC and International colleagues, for projects such as:

  • Devise and realize a logistics and automation concepts for large new fulfillment centers for leading B2C e-commerce companies
  • Preparing and aligning the business case for automation for a leading F&B company
  • Optimizing the processes in the national DC of an innovative technical wholesaler
  • Using simulation modelling to de-risk and optimize the design and operations for a consumer goods factory and warehouse.
  • Working with our Engineering colleagues to design the warehouse and logistics concepts for a new manufacturing site.

What you bring

Must-have experience:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Transportation, etc.), Supply Chain/Logistics, Operations Research, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in Supply Chain & Logistics field.
  • Extensive experience in Warehouse/DC layout development and material flow (re)design, including material handling and storage automation solution concepts.
  • Willingness to travel both for incidental trips to our offices in Southeast Asia and Netherlands, or to Southeast Asian clients.

Nice-to-have experience:

  • Familiarity with simulation and data analytics software (e.g., Power BI, Python, WITNEZZ Horizon).
  • Demonstrated supply chain & operations consulting experience.
  • Project management experience, managing customer stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Consultative selling and communication skills for winning projects, leading client meetings, attending conferences, and generating opportunities through professional networks.
  • Experience working in an international environment.
