Royal HaskoningDHV’s partnership with H2i (Hydroinformatics Institute) announced early in 2019, has been recognised as an inspirational Singaporean-Dutch collaboration and shortlisted for a prestigious Winsemius Award.
The partnership, established to leverage the skills, networks and experience of each partner in climate resilience and digital solutions has already seen accelerated developments in the digital services portfolio.
Wouter De Hamer, Chief Consultancy Officer of H2i said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this important award. The partnership between RHDHV and H2i might be relatively new but we’re already reaping the benefits.
“Royal HaskoningDHV innovations, like BlueLabel and the Flash Flood Forecasting tool, have been introduced in Singapore and H2i’s X-band radar and CCTV-to-rainfall technologies have been introduced to the first key-clients in the Netherlands and Asia-Pacific Region.”
The Winsemius Awards, named after Dutch economist Dr. Albert Winsemius who helped develop Singapore’s national economic development strategy, recognise the strong business ties between Singapore and the Netherlands and award innovative achievements.
This year’s theme is sustainable business: collaborate to innovate; the Red-Orange inspiration category has been introduced to recognise Singaporean-Dutch partnerships with inspirational sustainable processes, products or services (Red-Orange refers to recognised colours of each nation).
Wouter continues: “The partnership between H2i and Royal HaskoningDHV will cement our position as market leaders by enhancing our joint understanding of climate-related challenges and digital solutions; enabling us to create tools that will have a marked economic and social impact on urban areas.
“Royal HaskoningDHV’s global network and background strengthens H2i’s consultancy offering and extends the reach of its data science, AI, and machine-learning technologies. H2i’s position in Singapore makes it ideally placed to respond quickly to testing results and enable the fast development and scaling of new digital solutions.”
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 30th May 2019 at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia hotel in Singapore.
