The annual Floodplain Management Conference is Australia’s most respected flood risk management event. This year the conference theme is “Waterways of Success: Developing flood resilience in our communities” so experts from Royal HaskoningDHV have been asked to showcase their latest projects including the important new flash flood prediction service which is being used by the city of Parramatta.
Flash® , FISH and Lizard for Parramatta
Our new flood prediction service, Flash®, has become a key element in the city of Parramatta’s plans to improve their flood resilience and their Flood Information System Hub (FISH). Operating on the cloud-based Lizard platform and using real-time and forecast weather data to inform 3Di modelling, Flash® can predict flooding and provide early warning to government, local residents and businesses.
Conference delegates can find out more during Ben Patterson and Herman de Jonge’s discussion of the project on 31 May. Royal HaskoningDHV is also exhibiting at Booth 7.
