This year, GEO| Design+BIM will delve further into the integration of geospatial technology and BIM; and other associated industry trends including big data analytics, IoT sensors, drones, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
The event, themed ‘Enabling tomorrow’s connected infrastructure’, will take place in Amsterdam from 1-2 November 2018.
Royal HaskoningDHV’s Global Director Digital Engineering and Automation Jugal Makwana will be one of the speakers during the opening.
On the next day Royal HaskoningDHV will also be hosting the panel session Open BIM: Key to Successful Collaboration.
Jugal: "Open BIM standards are vital for efficient collaboration with clients, supply chains and wider contributors geared towards maintenance and development of the built environment. Using open, sharable asset information in the creation of civil infrastructure and buildings worldwide will help our industry to become more efficient and will lead to improvements in costs, value and environmental performance."
Project owners are increasingly eager to take advantage of open BIM standards, and to develop ‘digital twins’ for their assets, to enable more informed and timely decision making. It has become imperative for construction companies to look at this new approach to ensure exceptional delivery. In this session, Royal HaskoningDHV will be sharing their experience in working with open BIM workflow throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
