The appointment of Bob Post, Richard Willis and Kris Kosmala will help spearhead Royal HaskoningDHV’s new Smart Ports offering.
Royal HaskoningDHV has welcomed three new key strategic hires to head up the company’s new Smart Ports consultancy in its Maritime business. Bob Post, Kris Kosmala and Richard Willis bring with them a wealth of experience, that will help in positioning a more comprehensive set of innovative new technologies to help ports become smarter.
As part of Royal HaskoningDHV’s new Smart Ports offering, the company provides digital port solutions consultancy for new and existing ports in three distinct areas – Smart Asset Management, Smart Port and Terminal Operations and Smart Port Design. This will ultimately enable the company’s clients around the world to streamline their port operations.

Bob Post joined in the position of Terminal Automation Director at Royal HaskoningDHV in March 2019. With over 20 years of business and ICT experience in the shipping industry working for organisations including P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk, Bob has held a number of technical and management roles across various terminal automation projects around the world.
Richard Willis joined Royal HaskoningDHV as Port Operations Technical Director. Richard’s experience of port operations and technology industries over the past 20 years mean that he is well equipped in this new role where he is responsible for developing Royal HaskoningDHV’s port operations capability with a focus on technology.
Kris Kosmala was appointed Royal HaskoningDHV’s Smart Ports Digital Services Director. A recognised expert in transportation and logistics, Kris’ work focuses on global business transformation alignment to enable collaboration on land and sea. Kris has worked in North America, South America and Asia Pacific where he has used innovative technologies to: improve shipping and logistics efficiency; improve net margin contributions from operations; and reduce environmental impact.
