Royal HaskoningDHV Vietnam can proudly announce that the TAL Garment Factory project has reached 2,000,000 working hours without lost time due to injuries. Our local team has implemented our corporate HSE policy which has had a positive impact on the safety awareness of the contractor.

TAL is a garment producer from Hong Kong which produces mainly shirts for clients as Tommy Hilfiger, Boss, etc...

The factory is a two storey building, with a basement parking and includes a guest house for staff (capacity for 60 rooms) and a canteen for 1000 persons/shift. The full project has a GFA of 80,000m2. Royal HaskoningDHV provides full EPCM services. The design started in September 2014, the piling in February 2015 and the building was occupied by the client in November 2015.

The building was designed by using the highest standards. For sustainability, the ambition will be to acquire the LEED Gold accreditation. By doing this TAL is contributing to a greener environment for Vietnam by reducing energy consumption by 22%, reducing water usage by 45%, using 30% of materials by recycled content and another 30% by local material. Although the quality of this building is set by a high benchmark the costs remained quite low.

As a result of the good teamwork with all stake holders in this project, TAL has assigned Royal HaskoningDHV for the implementation of the design and construction management of Phase 2 and Phase 3.
