Royal HaskoningDHV today announced its intention to transfer its group delivering specialised industrial engineering services for the Dutch chemicals, oil and gas markets to KH Engineering. The two firms will establish a joint taskforce to deliver services to major clients in the Netherlands' Zaandam region.

Effective 1 March 2015, all 113 employees and ongoing activities of this group will be transferred to KH Engineering, a Netherlands-based company that specializes in engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCm) for the chemicals, oil and gas and other industries. Financial details were not disclosed.

The group is part of the company's Industry, Energy and Mining Business Line and delivers specialist EPCm services to the Dutch chemicals, oil and gas industry and operates from offices in Zaandam and Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The transfer does not include staff outside of the Netherlands.

The transfer of activities is in line with Royal HaskoningDHV’s strategy to focus on key markets and leading engineering services.
Craig Huntbatch, Director of Royal HaskoningDHV’s Industry, Energy and Mining Business Line stated: "Through the transfer we will realise two important aspects of our industrial strategy: to continue delivering high quality engineering consulting expertise and services to clients in the field, and to ensure that detailed engineering skills continue to be offered through KH Engineering. The joint taskforce will ensure that our major clients in the Zaandam region continue to receive the high-quality engineering skills and expertise that form an integral part of their projects."

Royal HaskoningDHV's Industry Energy and Mining Business Line will remain focused on delivering its leading services particularly in the fields of consultancy, safety, permitting and asset management, as well as engineering for the other industrial sectors.
