Mohammad Aslam BijapurRoyal HaskoningDHV has appointed Mohammad Aslam Bijapur as Managing Director for its India operations with effect from 1 May 2015. Mr Bijapur has been with the company for seven years and was Resident Director India from 2011 to 2012. His breadth of knowledge and experience, as well as his thorough understanding of the company, make him well placed to further develop operations in India.

Mr Bijapur joined Royal HaskoningDHV in 2008 as Director Advisory Group for the Maritime & Waterways Business Line in India. His activities included planning, design and construction of facilities for ports, harbours and shipyards, and the design of coastal structures. He was also involved in coastal modelling works.

His most recent role was Director Operations implementing QHSE, overseeing local compliance and supporting the Maritime & Waterways Business Lines as Senior Project Director on major projects. He was also actively involved in operations across other business lines, including industry, energy & mining, water technology, infrastructure and planning & strategy.

Before joining Royal HaskoningDHV, Mr Bijapur had more than 17 years of experience in the consulting engineering field in operational and strategic management positions. During this time, he worked on major public and private sector projects in India and abroad.

Landmark projects
The landmark projects done by Royal HaskoningDHV in India over last 40 years are to name a few: Bihar Urban Development Investment Program, Master Planning of Sewerage System and Detailed Project Report for the Greater Bangalore Sewerage, TT Nagar Re-Densification Scheme, Revised Master Plan 2031 for Bangalore, Ennore Port, Karwar Project Seabird, world class Container Terminal at Cochin, Naval Dock at Mumbai and modernisation of two major shipyards, Mazagaon and Goa.
