Royal HaskoningDHV has appointed a new UK sales manager for Nereda, its innovative wastewater solution technology. Mike Jordan has joined the company from Advanced Organics Ltd, where he was director for five years. Based in the company’s Peterborough office and reporting toMarco Mijnders, Global Operations Director – Water Technologies & Products, Mike’s brief is to build on and develop the success of the Nereda brand as well as providing additional sales capacity.
Over 40 Nereda plants are now in operation or are under construction around the world, from North America to Australia. Progress in the UK is rapid with the technology being installed at three of Severn Trent’s sewage treatment works alone, and relationships with other water companies developing fast.
With over 10 years’ wastewater industry experience in MBRs and SBRs, Mike has particular knowledge of the challenges of retrofitting technology as well as biological product development and innovation. He says: “15 years ago at an industry event in Stockholm I was told that Nereda was going to be the next big thing. I am really excited now to be involved in its rollout in the UK and to be at the forefront of its further development here.”
Commenting on Mike’s appointment, Marco Mijnders, Royal HaskoningDHV, says, “We are delighted to welcome someone of Mike’s calibre with such wide-ranging experience and expertise in the biological circular economy sector. We look forward to him integrating into the Nereda family and helping us develop further within the UK.”
