Royal HaskoningDHV will accompany Ms Lilianne Ploumen, Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation when she visits India on 4-7 November 2014.

In India, Royal HaskoningDHV has built a rich track record that dates back to 1950. The company currently employs 350 people and focuses on various multi-disciplinary projects in the fields of water management and wastewater technology, maritime, planning, infrastructure, food & beverage, buildings and aviation for both public and private sector clients. Its head office is located at Noida (Delhi NCR Region) with a regional office in Mumbai.

Royal HaskoningDHV is joining this trade mission with a focus on new business in Healthcare and Agri/Food.

Members of the delegation include Mr Sander Vorselman, Healthcare Business Development Director, and Mr Wil Duivenvoorden, Agro/Food Business Development Director at Royal HaskoningDHV.

Agri/Food

In line with the "Golden Triangle Approach" for Agriculture and Food, the mission will help promote Dutch technology solutions for adaptation and integration in local demands to enhance food security and reduce water scarcity issues. Royal HaskoningDHV addresses these issues from a number of aspects and its expert, Mr Wil Duivenvoorden will showcase the company’s related services in the field. He will also be actively involved in improving the Indian Cold Chain for a number of products, as part of the follow-up activities for the Cold Chain Cluster (FME Agro/Food Cluster/NAFTC).

Healthcare

The Indian healthcare industry is growing fast with government doubling its expenditure on healthcare to 2.5% of GDP and investing heavily in public healthcare infrastructure.
The private sector is also boosting its investments in healthcare delivery and is currently responsible for 80% of the new bed capacity.
At the seminar 'Improving Healthcare Together, India-Netherlands cooperation on Healthcare' on 5 November in New Delhi, Mr Sander Vorselman will deliver a presentation on Dutch hospital design and infrastructure. The company is able to provide flexible and responsive solutions for the Indian market which take into account growth/ shrinkage potential as well as changing care and cure concepts.
