With more than 11 years of international experience in the field, Bram Dekker, Airport Civil Engineer NACO, will be sharing his knowledge of developing the Mexico City New International Airport project.

Commenting on his participation in the event, Bram Dekker said: “Designing one of the world’s largest airports, Mexico City New International Airport, comes with its challenges. Our Dutch team is well-versed in dealing with poor soil conditions in the Netherlands, which has equipped us to deal with the even more challenging soil conditions in Mexico by implementing significant geotechnical measures. We were able to bring together a range of skills and disciplines from NACO and across our parent company Royal HaskoningDHV to ensure that this project is a success.

“The Mexico Infrastructure Summit is a great opportunity for us to share our insights with the region on how these types of challenges need to be addressed from the beginning of a project in order to ensure we minimise risks both during the construction process and once the new airport is operational.”

Hosted by Markets Group, the summit will focus on the investment, development and operation of large scale infrastructure projects across transportation, water, energy, telecommunications, and social and urban infrastructure throughout Mexico.

Bram Dekker will be a panel member on Wednesday 29 June at 3.05pm in the session entitled ‘Airport Modernization and Expansion’ together with Grupo Aeroportuario de la Cuidad de Mexico, Grupo Tadco Constructora, Jones Day and Vazquez Nava y Consultores.
