Project Description

The extension for the Chen Chin Lake waterworks consists amongst others a softening stage. The Crystalactor plant consists of concrete constructed pellet reactors, partially filled with a seeding sand. The pellets grow and move towards the reactor bottom. At regular intervals, a quantity of the largest fluidized pellets is harvested from the reactor and fresh sand material is added. It comprises of 8 concrete reactors with a surface area of 4.8 x 4.8 m and a height of 8.0 m. For the dosage of caustic soda, an innovative removable dosing racks have been installed.
