Powerful mooring analysis software was first made available in the industry in 1997, and since then, we have helped our clients to understand and optimise the design of marine developments. The methodology that we use is called Dynamic Mooring Analysis (DMA).

To improve the mooring Royal HaskoningDHV uses innovative mooring system system likes Cavotec MoorMaster™ and ShoreTension®. Cavotec MoorMaster™ is a vacuum-based automated mooring technology that eliminates the need for conventional mooring lines. ShoreTension® is a flexible stand-alone mooring system based on a permanent tension of mooring lines without the need for constant external energy. Both systems reduce the movements of a moored vessel which can be caused by strong winds, currents or passing vessels – and with that, it also reduces the down-time of the terminal.
