Royal HaskoningDHV took home the Maritime 2050 award in its second year as part of the Maritime UK Awards.
The Maritime UK Awards celebrate the UK’s maritime industry – championing projects, initiatives and work that enables a thriving maritime sector.
Introduced in 2019, the Maritime 2050 category, recognises those businesses that are taking steps to capitalise on the opportunities presented within Maritime 2050 – the UK’s first long-term strategy for the maritime sector, developed in partnership between industry and the government.
Royal HaskoningDHV is a partner in the 2050 Maritime Innovation Hub and the Mersey Maritime Technology Innovation Forum as well as working with Maritime UK directly. We have consistently invested the time and skills of our Smart Ports consultants to support Maritime 2050 initiatives, sharing our expertise and knowledge of the port industry in a collaborative environment designed to stimulate ideas and deliver solutions to industry challenges.
Speaking about the win, Nicki Clay, Smart Ports Director, said: “We’re thrilled to have won this award and I’d like to thank all the members of our hard-working team that helped make this happen – particularly in such a strange and turbulent year.
“The Maritime 2050 strategy is an important milestone in the UK – the first long-term maritime strategy, created in close partnership with industry and government, that sets out the importance of the maritime sector to Britain’s future. To be recognised for our work towards its goals and aims is a big achievement and a testament to the expertise and experience Royal HaskoningDHV holds in the UK.”
