In his talk, Mike will explore the topic ‘Harnessing new technologies that improve port efficiencies’ and examining the latest emerging technologies and innovations in the industry.

Mike’s presentation will also look into areas including the use of automation technology worldwide and how it can be used in the UK; using big data to effectively improve decision making for port development; and cost reductions through approved efficiency.

Mike said: “Royal HaskoningDHV’s maritime experts understand the economic realities of ports and terminals and the need to work with the physical environment to create lasting solutions.

“We have extensive experience working not only in the UK, but also across Europe and the world, so my talk will include valuable information about how we have helped to develop ports in cities such as Rotterdam and Singapore and what learnings from these can be beneficial to the UK ports industry.”
