SHAPING THE FUTURE OF EIA
Responding to the increasing demand for digitization and transparency, Royal HaskoningDHV has pioneered the way in which all data surrounding the impact of a project on the environment is visualised and shared. This is an inspirational world where Environmental Impact Assessment reporting is quicker, more interactive, transparent, and accessible. A time when decision-making is rapid and efficient.
#THENEWEIS - TAKE THE JOURNEY
Hear from the people who have experienced #TheNewEIS and discover how this will transform the future of environmental impact assessments.
"When I saw the documented, text heavy manner of our standard EIS coming under increasing criticisms for being outdated, time-consuming and complex, I knew we needed to innovate and change to ensure that the EIS will continue to have relevance and impact in our collective decision making processes."
- Paul Eijssen, Royal HaskoningDHV’s Strategic Advisor for Environmental Impact Assessment and a creator of the digital EIS
TRANSPARENCY, ACCESSIBILITY AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Royal HaskoningDHV is at the forefront of developing innovative ideas which enable transparency, and create greater stakeholder engagement. It has pioneered a new digital platform for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the decision making process. This is #TheNewEIS.
With the new digital EIS, text documents are replaced by interactive visuals, making the report more transparent and concise. It also puts the consequences for the environment on the agenda in a much more accessible manner. Developed in collaboration with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure & Environment, the digital EIS has also received positive advice from the Netherlands Commission for Environmental Assessment, in recognition of the major step this presents in making impact statements more accessible, thereby creating opportunities for greater stakeholder engagement.
We invite you to join us to help shape the future of #TheNewEIS.
