The environment of organisations is constantly changing. Due to technological advances, incidents and social developments, more knowledge is available, the expectations of stakeholders (employees, residents, governments, interest groups, etc) change, and they become increasingly critical and articulate. Legislation and regulations and international standards also change.
To be in control
This changing environment requires transparency and continuous understanding of the processes and performance of organisations. Royal HaskoningDHV understands this changing context and its impact on organisations. Our experts and consultants have years of experience in guiding organisations and providing appropriate solutions to keep control of their own business operations.
Management systems and ISO standards
A management system provides the structure and pointers for maintaining and improving this control. This may be the case for a specific focus area, such as environment, occupational safety, quality or asset management. However, an integral approach is preferred wherever possible.
A management system is often based on one or more ISO standards and/or guidelines, such as:
- ISO14001 for environmental management;
- OHSAS18001/ISO45001 for occupational health and safety management;
- ISO22313 for continuity management.
Royal HaskoningDHV provides organisations with support in setting up, managing and improving their management system. Getting the plan-do-check-act cycle watertight remains a constant challenge. Audits play an important role in improving various processes. We assist organisations in performing their own audits or perform these audits on their behalf if so instructed.
