One of the major trends in Myanmar is the need forWorld Class Education. The British International School Yangon (BSY) established a school in an existing office building.
However, the building was too small and did not meet their requirements. BSY had the ambition to operate a school for 1000 students that meets the highest class academic requirements.
Royal HaskoningDHV Myanmar designed the new British International School of approximately 12,650 sq.m area on a plot of land of approximately 18,200 sq.m. The design was executed by our in-house architects, D103 International which has experience in the design of educational facilities. The school catered to Early Year's Foundation Schooling (EYFS), Primary and Secondary schooling. The facilities includesclassrooms, gymnasiums with changing facilities, meeting rooms, resource rooms, storage, student/staff amenities, library, science labs, theatre (auditorium), administration, dining halls, kitchen and technical service rooms.
The school will be Yangon’s most modern and high standard schooling facility. It also complies with international standards to provide the children with a safe and healthy environment. The design has been able to maximize the potential of the plot of land for the project.
