Our client’s ambitions included a completely new solar cell and module factory. Royal HaskoningDHV was asked to design the process related utilities and the interfacing regarding the factory design in its entirety.

The project was divided into three levels and had to be ready for the production of its first solar cell in a specific timeframe. Royal HaskoningDHV took charge of the hook-up and applied sustainable solutions to the factory in the field of water-saving and heat recovery. Other services we provided during the project include program of requirements and setup for environmental permits. Furthermore, we gave recommendations regarding both the civil and building related utilities parts. This was a local collaboration between client, Lithuanian architect and Baltic/Scandinavian contractor and consultant.

The project was finished on time and the facility accommodates an annual solar cell production of almost 200 MWp.
