Project management for new maritime training and education center, Netherlands

In a few years, annually 7.000 navigation and machine room cruise liner officers from the Carnival Group can be trained in a new maritime training and education center. Royal HaskoningDHV is responsible for the project management. The Carnival Campus (10.000 m2) will be located in Almere, the Netherlands. The new training facility houses four full mission navigation bridge simulators and four engine-room simulators.

The services delivered by Royal HaskoningDHV consist of: drawing up the tender brief including design specifications, the master plan with conceptual lay-out drawings, contracting a Design & Build contractor, controlling the design verification process and the construction on site and managing the commissioning and hand over process.

Due to the use of the Virtual Design & Construction approach, all involved parties are closely involved in the process. This speeds up the design process and lower costs.
