A design for a major office refurbishment at a hi-tech campus in Vietnam delivered added-value improvements for our client by invigorating synergies and inspiration.
Our client is a global technology company which commissioned us to design the refurbishment of their hi-tech campus in Vietnam. The building, which is LEED gold certified, was constructed in 2015.
The design was informed by our client’s workplace strategy and aimed to create a variety of working areas for employees depending on their personal workstyle and the needs of the business unit.
Neighbourhoods and walkways invigorate synergies
The new office will accommodate around 400 workstations in an open office environment distributed over eight neighbourhoods, each with a unique shape and orientation. A maze of open walkways between neighbourhoods break up the homogeneity and invigorate synergies between departments. In addition, we designed three communities of space, delivering smart solutions for reference activities, phone booths and collaboration.
What was special about our solution was that we went beyond our client’s question, which was focused on quantitative aspects of the project. The human element was integral to our design which draws together colours, textures and local cultural references to bring the entire building to life.
“Our pro-active approach really added value for our client,” said Phuc Kham. “This project is a good example how Royal HaskoningDHV has become a strong player pioneering new interior concepts in a competitive market.”
