A striking pedestrian bridge across the Cornelis Bruijnzeelweg marks the starting point of the southern ring road in Zaanstad. The new bridge constitutes the missing link between the Butterfly Bridge in Zaanstad and the Hoogtij Bridge in Westzaan, both previously designed by Royal HaskoningDHV.


Although the three arched bridges display similarity in shape and colour, the newest design distinguishes itself with a curved footpath that is balanced by the reclining arch
