Chevron was planning to combine two supply bases for its offshore operations in the Gulf of Thailand into one.

Royal HaskoningDHV was contracted to assist the Client in site selection and prepare the design of the required facilities.

Royal HaskoningDHV was responsible for both the land site design (buildings, and installations), the coastal aspects (wind and waves, coastal morphology and modelling studies), as well as the marine layout, such as the design of the quay and associated facilities. Also included were two breakwaters (that were originally foreseen to be included in the design but were removed in a later stage), a dredged access channel, aids to navigation and maritime port security aspects.
Support to the Environmental Social & Health Impact Assessment (ESHIA) was also provided.
