The Tanjung Priok port in North Jakarta, which handles more than half of the total goods exported from or imported to Indonesia, has become overloaded over the years. The construction of a new port, being an extension of Tanjung Priok, has become one of the biggest public projects currently in development in Indonesia.
The local and international experts of Royal HaskoningDHV are supervising the construction of the container terminal and the port. Its assignment covers the supervision of construction work, including land reclamation, revetments, an access bridge, a container yard and wharf structures.
When fully operated in 2023, this New Priok Port (which is also known as Kalibaru Port) will be able to handle more than triple annual capacity of Tanjung Priok.
