Royal HaskoningDHV was commissioned to provide a full-service approach for the construction of a new office space in the existing office building “de Zwei”. The new office area would facilitate “an alternative way of working” – an interesting, stimulating and creative environment that facilitates teamwork and teambuilding.
We developed a complete plan for the interior ranging from an aesthetic quality plan to engineering drawings ready for construction. In a very short time, we were able to provide multiple design options to the client, in order to facilitate an efficient decision making process on all levels.
Although initially the aim was to provide a lean design process where the program of requirements was fixed, unforeseen changes required flexibility and quick adjustments to the design. With an agile approach we adequately anticipated on changes and altered the design with full commitment of the stakeholders.
Due to our flexible way of working, the project was finished in six months from concept to engineering phase within the estimated consultancy and design fees.
