Location: Ba Ria Vung Tau province, Vietnam
Dobla was searching to expand its sales of chocolate products to the Asian market. A new chocolate factory was constructed in Vung Tau, enabling them to supply this demand. Royal HaskoningDHV provided full consultancy services for this project. The most important challenge of this project was the high hygiene and climate standard that had to be set up to attain high quality standards for the production of their chocolate products. Temperature and humidity control design was central in this project. Another focus was the impact of the chocolate production on the M&E equipment. Standard filters of HVAC systems would for example not endure the production climate and condensation in the ceilings would impact piping, and socket outlets.
Special systems were designed for ACMV and HVAC with high standards, to provide the project with a high quality climate control. Materials were specifically considered, as well as flow of air, temperature of the Transfer Bridge and special type of filters and humidity devices. This was done so that the end products of the client would fulfil international standards.
The solutions led not only to a production facility with a high durability due to the mechanical and electrical solutions, but also to a design that was esthetical pleasing. The client was very satisfied with the project and they also received an award from the Dutch Business Association Vietnam for most innovative Dutch company that year
