Ocean Shipping Consultants (OSC), Royal HaskoningDHV’s maritime economics and operations consultancy group, will be taking part in the 23rd Intermodal Africa conference taking place in Tanzania from 14-16 January 2020.
Principal Consultant Nishal Sooredoo will be presenting his insights on ‘Global shipping trends in the East African region’ during the first session which is due to take place on Wednesday 15 January.
According to Nishal, the economy across the East Africa region is showing signs of strong growth, with increases in trade creating many new opportunities for port investments. “The focus of my presentation, will be a summary of the global shipping trends and their impact on the port sector in the region.” Nishal shared. He continued, “The consolidation of shipping lines for example has disrupted the level playing field and is creating new challenges for terminal operators.”
The 23rd Intermodal Africa is the biggest annual Ports, Shipping and Transport Logistics Exhibition and Conference in Africa. The event itself presents the ideal opportunity, to stay up to date with developments across the region and to connect with attendees and experts.
