Full Design & Engineering services for a 3,000 m2 training centre on a Brewery plant. The challenge in this assignment was to make a functional building design meeting the comfort requirements of the artisans but making sure the buildings look & feel does fit within the exposure of a Brewery Plant.

Supporting expanding ambitions beverage & snack producer 

Nigeria (2018)

We supported the client with their ambitions to expand their current production capacities in the coming years. Accordingly our team developed a complete master plan for the entire land including CAPAX estimations.

Enabling integrated process and flow for more efficiency in brewery

Nigeria (2018)

During the construction of a greenfield brewery with a capacity of 3.2 million HL., Royal HaskoningDHV supported our client to integrate parts of the process and engineer a smooth flow of materials on site.

Construction management and HSE supervision for large greenfield brewery

Nigeria (2017-current)

Royal HaskoningDHV has been responsible for the entire construction management services and especially the day to day HSE supervision for a large-scale green field brewery development (3.2 million HL. capacity). During the construction works we have also delivered technical feasibilities studies, asset management (factory improvements on hygiene, WCM, safety and all modifications), waste water treatment plant upgrade. Total buildings size 50,000 m2.

Process restructuring to meet market demand sweet snacks

Nigeria (2017)

The client would like to integrate five existing factories producing baked goods and sweets into one new production facility with increased capacity as a response to the changing demand. Royal HaskoningDHV conducted a feasibility study and financial analysis.

Full EPCM scope including project management for greenfield brewery

Ivory Coast (2015-2017)

A greenfield brewery project for our multinational client with a total capacity of 1.5 million hl per year. Our team delivered the full EPCM scope of work including project management. This way we managed to deliver a modern brewery within given time-line, costs and expected quality standards our client was aiming for.

Safeguarding quality during design & construction multi-modal manufacturing

Nigeria (2015)

Project management services to manage EPC contractor. Project scope was to build a multi-modal manufacturing, servicing, administration and training facility. The initiative envisages the design and construction of 10 buildings with a footprint of approximately 46,000m2 on a 100,000 m2 plot.

Design review, LEED certification and CM for new distribution centre

Nigeria (2013-2015)

The scope of the project was the realisation of a 20,000 m² warehouse and installation of small production equipment for liquids bottling. Being qualified to obtain a LEED sustainability certification was an important criteria in this project and accordingly the measures that had to be considered during both design & construction phase.

EPCM services for complex greenfield brewery

Nigeria (2012-2015)

A complex greenfield brewery project including accommodation and facilities with a total building area of 40,000 m². The brewery capacity was 3.0 million hl/year with a possible extension to 6.0 million hl/year.

Engineering services for dairy plant extension

Nigeria (2011-2013)

Royal HaskoningDHV delivered engineering services for dairy plant extension project, which has a 15,000 m² floor area. We also provided flood protection and mitigation measures plus the structural design for a new warehouse and laboratory.

Design enables African dairy facility to grow with demand

Ghana & Togo

The expansion of a factory in West Africa for a global dairy goods manufacturer has been designed in a modular way so it can grow in line with future demand. We designed the hygienic and conditioned food plant to be opened up gradually in line with market demand. Next to cold storage and production facilities, also utilities, including power generation, water and raw material intake can be expanded in a modular way.
