Royal HaskoningDHV will be supporting and advising Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with the design review and construction execution of the new pier and terminal, which are part of Schiphol’s Capital Programme.

The ambitious programme aims to expand Schiphol's facilities to accommodate further growth in the number of passengers. The programme is complex, not least because of the spatial limitations but also because the airport must remain fully operational without any disruption during construction.

Europe's Preferred Airport

Erik Oostwegel, CEO of Royal HaskoningDHV said: “We have been working with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for more than 50 years and we are very proud to again be involved in Schiphol’s expansion. We will provide in-depth consultation and review the proposed designs to ensure these meets the technical and functional requirements of Schiphol and enhance the competitive position of Schiphol as ‘Europe’s preferred airport’."

Royal HaskoningDHV including its airport consultants NACO will be reviewing all designs that are being developed, such as the design of the new pier, terminal, roads, utilities and car parks.Furthermore Royal HaskoningDHV will second a number of architecture, civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering experts to Schiphol's Capital Programme team.

The technical designs of the new pier and the platforms are currently being reviewed to ensure construction can commence mid-2018.
