The company’s innovative Nereda® technology and SusPorts pilot project were shortlisted in two of the headline categories, and last night Nereda® was Highly Commended in the “Driving Efficiency” category.
The success builds on the NCE100 in June of this year, where Nereda® was Highly Commended as a Technology Trailblazer, further boosting its profile in the UK market.
The ground-breaking technology was recognised for its ability to deliver a natural sewage treatment process which purifies water without chemicals, using patented technology within a footprint just 25 percent of that of a conventional wastewater plant.
René Noppeney, Water Products & Innovation at Royal HaskoningDHV commented: “This was the inaugural TechFest Awards celebration and it was a great platform to be able to showcase our innovative approach to wastewater treatment. Nereda is a very unique technology and represents the future of our industry. We’re delighted to have been recognised with a commendation!”
The awards showcase the best technology-led innovations that are driving civil engineering forward, with the company’s innovative SusPorts pilot project also shortlisted for the “Reducing Carbon” category for its work in improving energy efficiency in container ports.
René presented to the TechFest judging panel on September 14th together with Barry Oliver where the live audience had the opportunity to submit questions and share best practice together. The awards were presented at a dinner on the same evening. For more information on Nereda® please click here.
