Royal HaskoningDHV are delighted to announce that they have been awarded first place on the Southern England Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management Consultancy Services Framework.

The framework, awarded by Portsmouth City Council on behalf of 20 other local authorities as part of the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership, has a total worth of up to £40m.

Royal HaskoningDHV will be providing specialist consultancy services to support the delivery of a programme of flood and coastal erosion protection projects across the coastal areas of Central Southern England, ranging from Dorset in the West to Worthing in the East.

With a long history of working in the Solent, and an in-depth knowledge of the assets and structures along the south coast, Royal HaskoningDHV is ideally placed to respond to the challenges that climate change and sea level rises are bringing to this part of the world.

Royal HaskoningDHV has also been awarded the North Portsea Island detailed design contract, which will be delivered over the next 3-4 years, and is worth around £35m including construction. Having already delivered the first phase of this project in recent years, this new contract will see Royal HaskoningDHV completing the detailed design of the remaining 6km of coastal defences on Portsea Island, from Tipner Lake to Milton Common.

Through our design-driven solutions for Flood and Coastal Management we provide security of place to communities which are responsive to the stresses of future uncertainty.
