Royal HaskoningDHV’s Water Team in Singapore has won the water category at the prestigious DutchCham Winsemius Awards 2017 for their work on the Pulau Tekong Polder Development project.

The awards, handed out last week, were organised by the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, to recognise sustainability and innovation from both Dutch and Singaporean businesses operating in the region.

Mark van Zanten, Senior Project Manager with the Royal HaskoningDHV team received the award from Mr Lawrence Wong, Minister for National Development and Second Minister for Finance. Mark said: “We’re proud to be helping build the future of Singapore and this award is recognition of the work we are doing for this innovative project and for the way we work with local companies like Surbana Jurong.”

The awards dinner, attended by around 200 guests from local and international businesses, was held at the Grand Hyatt in Singapore with a key note speech from Mr Lawrence Wong.

Speaking after the ceremony Tim Jeanné, Director of Royal HaskoningDHV’s Asia Pacific Water Business said: "This award is a real compliment for the entire Pulau Tekong team. Moreover, this ceremony was a great opportunity to reinforce connections within our industry.”
