Velo-City, the Global Cycling Summit, will take place in Dublin, Ireland this year. The conference focuses on the main theme ‘Cycling for the Ages’, linked to the overall goal of cycling inclusion. Building on topics of previous Velo-City conferences such as health, infrastructure, technology, governance and data, Velo-City 2019 will explore the fusion of these discourses through cycling inclusion.

Tuesday 25 June Jasper Homrighausen will discuss the mobility transition: how to integrate cycling and Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Mobility as a Service is part of the future ecosystem of urban mobility. How can cycling be a part of it? And how do we ensure that cycling keeps being a valid option for trips in the city? Jasper will sare his expertise on the context of MaaS for cycling including three major developments: bike sharing, integration of transportation modes and use of physical space.
On Thursday 27 June Sjors will moderate a transnational discussion on cycling highways. In numerous countries in Europe cycling highways are being developed. Each country picks its own path, be it cycling superhighways (UK), fietssnelwegen (BE), Radschnellwegen (DE) or snelfietsroutes (NL). But on their paths, they encounter similar problems, challenges and questions. Once again, their own approaches are being chosen. Sjors will moderate this session with speakers from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.
