20 Jun 2016

As in previous years, RoyalHaskoningDHV will be exhibiting at this year’s Global Offshore Wind Conference and Exhibition on the 21 and 22 June in Manchester, UK. The conference is one of the largest wind energy events in the world with over 2,000 delegates set to attend.

We are taking centre stage at RenewableUK’s conference with an insight speech on the use of the Evidence Plan process to reduce uncertainty for offshore wind DCO applications. Our ‎Principal Environmental Consultant, Paulo Pizzolla, is presenting at the event alongside Mandy Gloyer of ScottishPower Renewables. The title of Wednesday 22nd June’s joint session is ‘The Evidence Plan Process – Reducing Uncertainty for Offshore Wind’.

The paper will examine Defra’s Evidence Plan process: a voluntary, non-statutory mechanism to facilitate effective pre-application consultation and reduce the risk of complex, unresolved issues remaining into the Examination process. The main points covered in the presentation will be the: success and limitations of the Evidence Plan process; stakeholder engagement in the process; easy wins versus hard to resolve issues; and lessons for future Evidence Plans.

Global Offshore Wind 2016 promises to bring you the latest in offshore wind technology and innovation from the people at the forefront of development, such as RoyalHaskoningDHV. Alongside presenting at the conference, we can also be found at stand 136 where our experts will be available to offer insights and advise delegates on developments in wind energy.

Royal HaskoningDHV at Global Offshore Wind and Wind Days 2016

Royal HaskoningDHV’s presence at the Manchester exhibition comes shortly after our attendance at Wind Days 2016 on June 15th and 16th in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. At Wind Days we were also on the organising committee of the side event ‘North Sea Energy Symposium: Gas meets Wind’, where energy specialists from North Sea countries convened to discuss how gas, wind and grid offshore operators may coordinate their activities.
