Royal HaskoningDHV in the UK is celebrating after being ranked 8th in the NCE100 – the top 100 most inspirational civil engineering practices operating in the global market today – as well as being Highly Commended for two awards.
Here, Craig Huntbatch, Royal HaskoningDHV’s UK Resident Director, provides the detail of the awards: “Our ranking this year represents a significant 10-place increase on 2016, when we were ranked 18th – and we were one of the biggest movers in the ranking this year.
“As part of the prestigious event, Royal HaskoningDHV was also Highly Commended for two awards – Best Place to Work and Technology Trailblazer (for our Nereda solution) – a testament to how highly the judges praised our entries. We were also shortlisted for the Contribution to the Profession award, recognising our work to inspire future engineers through partnerships.”Royal HaskoningDHV was shortlisted for the Best Place to Work award for its clear approach to staff engagement and profit sharing. Commenting on the company’s entry, the judges said: “A very close runner up. This was a compelling, energetic and honest presentation, which demonstrated strong staff involvement in values and strategy. Overall the judges were very impressed.”
And Royal HaskoningDHV’s Nereda solution came a very close second in the Technology Trailblazer category, boosting its profile here in the UK market. The judges commented: “An impressive sustained effort over 20 years around the world working on this step-change in water treatment and sustainability.”
Craig concluded: “We’re thrilled to have been placed in the top 10 companies by the NCE – after a great result in 2016 it was always our ambition to build and improve on that this year, and we’re so proud of what the company has achieved in order to get to this position.
“We’ve come a long way over the last twelve months and have secured some high profile must-win projects across the UK.
