Two prominent members of the Nereda team have the chance to be awarded in the water sector
Top 25 Water Leaders
René Noppeney, Global Director Water Products & Innovation, is shortlisted to become one of the Top 25 Water Leaders. Now in its third year, WWi Magazine's Top 25 Leaders list is globally recognised as the authoritative compilation of the key movers and shakers in the international water industry. This year WWi has decided to celebrate active individuals in the global water/wastewater markets whether it's brokering new deals, attracting finance, commercialising new technologies or making a utility more efficient.
Inventor of Nereda technology, Professor Mark van Loosdrecht, Delft University of Technology is also shortlisted. He was elected number 2 in last years ranking.
Water innovator of the year 2017
Paul Roeleveld, director business development at Royal haskoningDHV, is one of the four nominees for the Dutch award: "Water innovator of the year 2017". Paul's contribution to the development of the process for extracting alginate from Nereda sludge is substantial. This alginate is a sustainable resource, used by amongst others the paper and cardboard production. The first nereda alginate plant is under construction in Zutphen, the Netherlands.
The winner of this award is to be announced during the Water vision congress in Rotterdam on February 16th, 2017.
