Royal HaskoningDHV is pleased to announce that the company has expanded its Nereda® community, with Trojan Technologies joining as a preferred supplier focused on UV disinfection.
Trojan Technologies is a leader in UV disinfection. The company’s municipal UV product brand is known as TrojanUV. TrojanUV disinfection and advanced oxidation systems help safeguard water and wastewater against bacteria, viruses and chemical contaminants. Its industrial UV product brand is known as Aquafine. Aquafine UV systems are trusted in a variety of industrial and commercial applications, including food and beverage, microelectronics, pharmaceutical, and aquaculture.
Trojan will strengthen Royal HaskoningDHV’s offering where post-disinfection is required. The company’s values and technology align closely with Nereda’s achievements and aims, including using no to low chemical treatment, a small footprint, and the resulting high-quality effluent. Trojan will be the second Nereda preferred supplier from the Danaher family. Hach, which is also owned by Danaher, joined the program in 2018.
René Noppeney, Global Director of Nereda at Royal HaskoningDHV, explains: “With the growing concern of micro-pollutants in water, Trojan’s Nereda-specific UV design can make a difference for re-use of wastewater. This will bring the circular economy a step further, resulting in a better environment for all.”
He continued: “It’s a good match-up of two visionary companies that both see a bright future for wastewater treatment. Innovation is key to meeting ongoing challenges but working together is an important part of that too. To collaborate with similarly minded companies makes sense, to deliver the wastewater solutions of tomorrow.”
“We’re proud to have been named the preferred UV disinfection supplier by Royal HaskoningDHV and are looking forward to collaborating with them,” says Danny Jung, Sales Director Trojan Technologies. “The combination of a TrojanUV disinfection system and the patented Nereda granular sludge technology offers a unique, efficient, and effective wastewater treatment solution around the world.”
