Royal HaskoningDHV has been shortlisted for the Global Water Awards in the Water Technology Company of the Year category for its Nereda® technology. Each year, the coveted Global Water Awards are presented at the Global Water Summit, the major business conference for the water industry worldwide.
The awards, organised by Global Water Intelligence (GWI), have been running for 12 years and recognise the most important achievements in the international water industry, through improved operating performance, the adoption of innovative technology and sustainable financial models.
Nominations for the Global Water Awards are shortlisted by a panel of industry experts. The winners are voted for by GWI and Water Desalination Report subscribers, to reflect the views of the international water community. Online voting is now open (1 March), and the awards will be presented at a dedicated ceremony on 16 April during the 2018 Global Water Summit: Transcending Boundaries in Paris.
The Water Technology Company of the year category is awarded to the company which has made the most significant contribution to the field of water technology in 2017. The Nereda nomination highlights its achievements to date, acknowledges the importance of its wider Nereda community and positions Royal HaskoningDHV’s ongoing innovations along with water’s role within the circular economy.
Commented René Noppeney, Global Director of Water Technology Products & Innovation at Royal HaskoningDHV: “We are very proud to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award. It is a true testimony to how important an introduction Nereda technology is to the water industry, and how it is increasingly being recognised as the future in sustainable wastewater treatment. Our success is due to a lot of hard work from all of the Nereda community – from the Royal HaskoningDHV team through to all our partners and licencees – we are excited to hear the results next month.”
