About the Limeira Nereda WWTP
Due to increased population and more stringent legislation the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Limeira - Tatu, Brazil needs to be extended in order to secure water quality of the nearby river Tatu. After extension BRK will operate the plant. Cost efficiency, CAPEX as well as OPEX, is a very important issue.
The existing waste water treatment plant will be upgraded with biological treatment, based on Nereda technology. (Installed pre-treatment: 3 mm screens and efficient O&G removal).Besides delivering an extended basic design and a Nereda Controller, Royal HaskoningDHV will review the client’s detailed design and support the client with commissioning, start-up and 5 years of operation of the new plant.
The three Nereda reactors are downstream the existing primary clarifier. Because of differences in height, the reactors are fed by gravity flow resulting in efficient energy consumption.
