About the Simpelveld Nereda WWTP
Waterschap (water authority) Limburg has decided to replace the Simpelveld wastewater treatment plant acoording to the Verdygo concept. Verdygo plants are conducted with, among others, Nereda technology, which adds another innovation to its concept. The Nereda technology is an aerobic wastewater treatment technology that purifies the water with the unique features of aerobic granular biomass.
Waterschapsbedrijf Limburg has signed contracts with Royal HaskoningDHV for the innovative Nereda treatment technology and with four suppliers for the tanks. Uniquely, it has been decided for these initial constructions to manufacture the tanks from four different materials: concrete, stainless steel, wood and coated steel.
