About the Cargill Nereda WWTP
Cargill’s existing SBR-wastewater treatment facility showed variable and suboptimal performance and suffered frequently from bulking sludge formation. Cargill had to find a solution for the problems by making adjustments at minimal costs.
After the evaluation of several options Royal HaskoningDHV was requested to change the plant from a conventional SBR into a Nereda plant. Modification of the existing reactors and implementation of the Nereda technology made the plant perform steadily and better at reduced energy consumption. The Effluent in discharged into the surface water.
