Short presentation summary
The challenges and opportunities of
exporting European permitting experience.
As part of a successful cross Atlantic collaboration and partnership with the well-known US consultancy EnE, Royal HaskoningDHV and EnE have been considering how best the US offshore wind industry can benefit from European experience in project development. Re-inventing the wheel is expensive and usually pointless. However the US market, planning and regulatory environment along with approach to project development ecosystem is distinct and offers new challenges for project developers.
The joint Royal HaskoningDHV and EnE presentation will look at some of the challenges and opportunities and in particular consider the practicalities of how European expertise can be incorporated into the rapidly growing US offshore wind development sector
