15 May 2014Royal HaskoningDHV was awarded an extension of its Anti-corruption Compliance System Certificate on 30 April 2014. It means that the company continues to work under this prestigious 'best practice' certificate that is managed by ETHIC Intelligence. Royal HaskoningDHV is the first and only engineering consultancy that participates in this demanding programme.
Chairman of Royal HaskoningDHV's Executive Board Mr Erik Oostwegel said: "We are very proud to show that Integrity, as one of our core values, is truly at the core of our culture and practices globally. It is the basis for trust from our clients and trust within the company."
Legislation and international standards are becoming more strict every day, in the global attempt to phase out corruption and fraud. Royal HaskoningDHV works with a zero tolerance policy for non-compliance. Integrity is already assessed during opportunity identification and is part of the process at all steps that follow.
At the centre of the Integrity management system is the Global Code of Business Principles. A global network of Local Compliance Officers supports management and staff in applying the principles and dealing with risks. In addition, the company offers an anonymous external speak up-line globally to facilitate whistle blowing. Key is that people feel equipped and supported in dealing with the issues they are confronted with in practice.
Based on the external audit report: The ETHIC Intelligence Certification Committee Chairman ascertains that Royal HaskoningDHV's anti-corruption Compliance Program is properly designed and implemented corresponding to international best practices. The certificate is awarded for a period of two years.
