We are looking
for a graduate with a genuine enthusiasm for Transport Planning to join our London
team. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the
technical excellence of the team and can expect considerable experience on a
variety of interesting and challenging projects.
Our Transport team undertakes development planning work, providing advice to private sector and local authority clients on access and transportation issues and supporting development proposals through the planning process. The team works closely with our Infrastructure Design, Structures and Environmental teams on larger multi-disciplinary development proposals.
The successful candidate can expect to gain exposure to the following areas within the Transport Planning discipline:
Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport Statements;
Strategic Transport Studies;

Assistance in preparation of reports and calculations
Undertaking surveys, and research for projects.
Manage elements of projects as appropriate.
Awareness of commercial and technical management of projects to assist in ensuring that these are managed effectively within budgetary constraints.
Developing innovative solutions to serve and benefit Clients.
Contributing to the technical development of the transport function in the UK.
Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.
BSc/ BEng in Civil Engineering or Geography.
Knowledge of Traffic Assessments, Travel Plans, Transport Statements.
Good communicator (written and verbal).
Good team player to contribute to dynamic group.
Desire to be Chartered through relevant Professional Bodies (eg CIHT,CILT, TPP).
MEng in Civil Engineering, MSc in Transport Planning (or equivalent).
Some knowledge of transport planning software TRICS, Junction 8, LINSIG.
Availability to work on short missions abroad.
As Royal HaskoningDHV operate projects with a BIM approach, you are expected to be aware of the UK BIM framework (previously known as BIM Level 2), your role within it and ideally have practical experience. If this is not the case, you will be expected to undertake the relevant training courses via our Digital Academy within your first 3 months of employment should you be successful.
