The Graduate Engineer
will have a genuine enthusiasm for Engineering design. The role will involve assisting
in the delivery of highway and drainage schemes for both private sector and
local authority clients.
The role demands a proactive approach in a team environment and offers substantial opportunity for career progression within the company.
Graduate Engineers will be expected to contribute to the technical excellence of the team and can expect considerable experience on a variety of interesting and challenging projects.
Production of designs for infrastructure and associated planning schemes to appropriate standards from initial concept to detailed design;
Assist with inspections and surveys, preparation of reports and site supervision of projects;
Manage small projects or elements as appropriate;
Developing innovative design solutions to serve and benefit clients;
Basic Knowledge of Section 278 and 38 of the Highways Act;
ACAD/ Civils 3D Program Knowledge;
Some knowledge of DMRB and Manual for Streets.
Assistance in preparation of reports and calculations.
Undertaking surveys, and research for projects.
Manage elements of projects as appropriate.
Awareness of commercial and technical management of projects to assist in ensuring that they are managed effectively within budgetary constraints.
Developing innovative solutions to serve and benefit Clients.
ACAD/ Civils 3D Program Knowledge.
2D Highway Alignment Design.
Drawing Issue Register Creation.
Drawing Register Upkeep.
Preparing 3D models.
Contributing to the technical development of the transport function in the UK.Staff will be encouraged to develop their own ideas.
Carry out any duties which your line manager may reasonably request within the broad parameters of your role.
BSc/ BEng in Civil Engineering or Geography.
Knowledge of Manual for Streets and relevant Highway standards.
Good communicator (written and verbal).
Proven technical track record and ability.
Good team player to contribute to dynamic group.
Desire to be Chartered through relevant Professional Bodies (e.g. CIHT)
MEng in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Availability to work on short missions abroa
Knowledge of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements
As Royal HaskoningDHV operate projects with a BIM approach, you are expected to be aware of the UK BIM framework (previously known as BIM Level 2), your role within it and ideally have practical experience. If this is not the case, you will be expected to undertake the relevant training courses via our Digital Academy within your first 3 months of employment should you be successful.
