I’m a committed wastewater and sanitation expert with 15 years of experience. I joined RHDHV in 2003 and worked 8 years in Asia (4 years in China and 4 years Indonesia). I now work as a Nereda® account manager and process engineer for Products & Innovations (BL Water). This combination allows me to do the things I like most; working in a long term partnership on sustainable water solutions. I obtained my PhD obtained from Wageningen University on “Sanitation planning in developing countries; added value of resource recovery”. In this thesis a framework was developed that supports policy makers in evaluating different sanitation systems with quantification of potential benefits (health, environment, recoverables). It describes how the circular economy can really add value, while accelerating access to sanitation. As you may have noticed in my blogs I like to use day to day examples to explain our Nereda technology and its added value.
